The Management of Ignis is located Oslo, Korea, Sweden and Denmark.
The administration head quarter is in Oslo, Sales & Marketing is managed from Korea and the CEOs of Ignis Fira, Ignis Photonyx and Ignis Syntune is located in their respective offices.
Thomas Ramm
Chief Executive OfficerThomas Ramm is CEO of Ignis (formerly WiCom ASA). Prior to joining WiCom he was CEO of SMG, a computer distributor, and CEO and founder of Netup Consult AS, a system integrator based on IP telephony, Unified Messaging and Wireless solutions. Ramm worked from 1988 to 1994 in distribution in Micro Software AS (later Santech Micro Group ASA).
Walker Kinman
Chief Financial OfficerWalker J. Kinman joined Ignis ASA from Syntune AB, a fully owned subsidiary of Ignis acquired in Q2 2009, where he served as CFO. Mr. Kinman has extensive experience as a finance professional working in industrial, telecom and internet business sectors. He joined Syntune in 2006 and has long term experience from other finance positions at General Electric, T-Online and Deutche Telekom’s subsidiary Ya.com where he served as CFO. Walker J. Kinman holds an BS in Business Administration from the Boston University School of Management and is a Graduate with Honors from General Electric’s Financial Management Program (FMP).
Matt Lee
Chief Operating Officer Matt Lee has extensive experience within sales and marketing from the international telecommunication and IT industry. He joined Fi-ra Photonics from Hanaro Telecom Inc (now SKBroadband), where he held the position as Executive Vice President. He had also been responsible for the overall sales in telephony and broadband internet access; the company had 3.5 million Broadband Access subscribers. Previously he worked at Nokia Networks as sales VP, Hyundai Electronics, and AT&T Bell Labs in USA. Mr. Lee holds a MS in Mathematics and a MS in Statistics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA.
Patrik Evaldsson
CEO, Ignis SyntunePatrik brings more than 15 years of experience from the optical components industry with a track record of taking products from development into the market. Most recently he held the position as CEO and later CTO at Optillion, a developer and manufacturer of 10 Gb/s pluggable DWDM modules. Prior to joining Optillion, Patrik was responsible for building an Ethernet-based MAN test bed and an Optical WDM field trial, and working with next generation IP and Optical Networks in his work at the Ericsson Group. Prior to Ericsson, Patrik spent six years at AT&T Bell Labs, working on the design of semiconductor lasers, transistors and optoelectronic components. Patrik has a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Bradford, England, and a master's of science in electrical engineering and applied physics from the Linköping Institute of Technology in Sweden.
Magnus Breidne
CEO, Ignis PhotonyxMagnus Breidne is since January 2004 Science Counsellor at the Swedish Embassy in Beijing. Before that he was vice president and director of R&D at Acreo AB, Sweden’s foremost research institute in microelectronics and optics. During 1995 - 99 he was managing director at the Institute of Optical Research in Sweden – where he initiated and managed a number of research initiatives for Swedish industry within fiberoptics, optical information processing and imaging.
