The Board of Ignis ASA currently consists of five directors. All elected at the Annual General Meeting held 15 May 2009.

Chairman of the Board

Henrik A. Christensen holds a degree in Law from the University in Oslo 1989. Assistant Lawyer and Lawyer at Ro, Sommersnes 1989-1994 and Partner from 1993. Lawyer and Partner in Wiersholm 1994-2004, and from 2004 Lawyer and Partner in Ro, Sommersnes. Christensen holds Board positions in Home Properties AB, Home Capital AB, Home Invest AS, Choice Hotels Scandinavia AS, RS Platou Markets AS, Hansa Property Group AS and Ferncliff AS.

Bjørn Broberg

Bjørn Broberg

Bjørn Broberg has long experience from development of photonics for the telecommunication industry. He is a serial entrepreneur and has held management positions in both research organisations, smaller companies as well as in a large multinational company. In 1997 he was the co-founder of the laser company Altitun AB. Altitun was in 2000 sold to ADC Telecommunications Inc. and Broberg then became director of engineering at ADC. He co-founded the laser company Syntune AB in 2003. In addition, he works as an independent consultant, and he currently holds board positions in a number of smaller hitech companies. Broberg holds a PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm from 1986.

Eva von Hirsch

Eva von Hirsch  started in Telenor in 1998 as senior adviser to the executive management. Since 2001 she has been in key management positions in several international telecom companies, among them Ghana Telecom. In Ghana Telecom von Hirsch was responsible for business plan implementation and organizational development. Today Von Hirsch is a member of the board in several Norwegian stock listed companies such as Aker Seafoods ASA and Reservoir Exploration Technology ASA, and Via Travel Group ASA, Lønne Scandinavia AS and Orange AS. Eva von Hirsch has a PhD in social anthropology from the Durham University, England.

Magdalena Gjefle has more than 10 years experience as investment banker in Chase Manhattan in London and DnBNor, First Securities and Pareto Securities in Oslo. In First and Pareto, Gjefle was partner and head of IT-services and software equity research. Today, she is director in Coor Service Management AS. She has an M.Sc in Finance from London School of Economics and a business degree from Gothenburg School of Economics.

Timothy S. Jenks

Tim Jenks has been President & CEO of Neo Photonics since April, 1998. He has served as Board Member and CEO of affiliate and spin out companies NanoGram Corporation and NanoGram Devices Corp. (acquired in 2004 by Greatbatch Technologies, NYSE: GB).  He was elected Chairman in 2005.  Mr. Jenks was previously Vice President and General Manager at Raychem Corporation, a materials and engineering company acquired by Tyco Electronics, where he served in general management and functional positions in the United States and Europe. Mr. Jenks is a former naval officer, and holds an MBA degree from Stanford University, a MS degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS degree from the U.S. Naval Academy.
